One differentiates between negative pressure and
positive pressure devices. Devices with positive pressure
generate positive pressure in the face piece. The positive pressure
prevents
the entry of hazardous substances from the
surrounding atmosphere into the respiratory mask.
The breathing air supply is carried along in
one or two compressed-air cylinders. The filling pressure of the cylinders
is 200 or 300 bar. A pressure reducer
reducer reduces the cylinder pressure. Via the medium pressure hose,
the breathing air reaches the demand valve
which regulates the respiratory air demand of the user
during each inhalation phase. full face masks must be
used as face pieces.
All self-contained breathing apparatus have a manometer
which allows the regulation of the remaining air
. From a residual pressure of approx. 55 bar,
an acoustic warning device is heard
indicating that the user must leave the dangerous area.

Self-contained compressed air breathing apparatus
Self-contained compressed air breathing apparatuses work independently of the ambient atmosphere and provide comprehensive protection against oxygen deficiency and a contaminated atmosphere regardless of the location.
The breathing air supply is transported in one or two compressed-air cylinders. The filling pressure of the cylinders is 200 or 300 bar. A pressure reducer reduces the cylinder pressure. Via the medium pressure hose, the breathing air reaches the demand valve which regulates the respiratory air demand of the user during each inhalation phase. As face piece a full face mask has to be used. All self-containing apparatuses have a manometer to control the remaining air volume From a residual pressure of approx. 55 bar, an acoustic warning device is heard indicating that the user must leave the dangerous area.
RN
All devices of the RN series (with steel or composite cylinders) are available in negative pressure and positive pressure
technology. They are approved for industrial use only. As a special feature,
the demand valves are equipped with a special warning device, which responds when the cylinder pressure
is low.
